What is your rate?

Every event has a different vision so we like to remain flexible. Please send me an email with the details (date, guest count, hours of service etc.) and we can discuss it further. There is a however a $275 minimum charge for any booking. Travel within greater Victoria is included in my price. Anything past Sooke, or over the Malahat, will have an additional travel fee.

How much do I buy?

Every wedding is different, but the following link really helps. You can customize it depending on your guests drinking style. https://www.evite.com/pages/party/drink-calculator/

Can you apply for the special event license on my behalf?

Unfortunately no. I cannot do this for liability reasons. As a bartender, I am taking responsibly for what I serve to your guests and that in itself is a great responsibility. Please refer to the website below for all the in’s and outs and to apply for your permit. If you have any questions feel free to ask away, it can be super confusing.

I need more than one bartender can you accommodate?

Yes, I have a few bartenders that work along side me who have the same amount of experience and their serving it right certification.

Do you have extra serving staff that we can hire to clear plates, fill water jugs etc.?

No, but I can always touch base with my serving contacts who may be interested.

What is included in your service?

The best way to describe my service is to consider me a contractor of pouring wobbly juice. I come to your event and bring the items listed below. You are responsible for purchasing the liquor, glassware, ice and mix. By doing this I tend to be more budget friendly and am the perfect fit for people just needing someone knowledgeable/fast/skilled to serve the bar.

I arrive to your event with the following tools to do my job:

  • Spouts

  • Shot glasses

  • Martini shaker

  • Bar mats

  • Ice bin and scoops

  • Full cash float

What kind of liquor do I buy?

From a bartenders perspective, this is hard to answer. It really depends on what you envision for your event. Some people like to have a fully stocked bar with vodka, rum, rye, and gin. Where as others choose to make one or two signature drinks and then just beer, wine, or cider. There is no right or wrong answer. I can help answer any of your bar related questions.

Cans or 2 litres?

I always recommend cans as they are WAY easier to work with than a big 2 litre bottle. 2 litres are also big and clumsy and slow things down as it takes two hands rather than one.

Can we sell my ubrew wine and cider?

I wish we could, but you can only sell wine that has come from a store. However, you can put the Ubrew wine on your tables as a complementary gift to guests.

Do you provide ice?

I do not, but I can connect you with a company that delivers.

What’s the booking process?

Once you decide to go with us, the rest is pretty easy. Each client must complete a contract and submit a $100 non refundable deposit. This deposit will go towards the amount owed for the event. If the event is cancelled any money that is paid over and above the deposit will be returned.

Can you hold a date for me without a deposit?

Nothing is final until there is a deposit and contract. I try my best to give priority to the person that made the first inquiry, but its never guaranteed until the contract is complete and deposit is paid.
